VI. CONCLUSION

        Our Church has been struggling to develop features of a "program-sized church" for many years. Yet our membership, though experiencing periodic growth spurts and declines, overall has remained more or less stable,  typical of churches that have not planned effectively for change. We are in such  a growth spurt now. If we do not institute some of the steps suggested above we will inevitably fail to achieve and fail to maintain the membership size that can sustain our programs and our leaders. If, on the other hand, we choose to grow intentionally, we will give ourselves the best chance to fulfill our vision.
