Welcoming Congregation
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Quad Cities welcomes all people, including gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) persons. As a "Welcoming Congregation" the church offers GLBT persons a religious home free of discrimination and supports GLBT activities in the community including Quad Citians Affirming Diversity, an early project of the church. The UUA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries recently released a video in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth, encouraging them to seek out UUism as a welcoming faith community that affirms each person’s worth, regardless of race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
