“From Peoria to Australia – Travelers to Parliament of Religions Share Their
Stories”
UU Rev. Michael Brown and 7 other members of the Peoria, IL UU Congregation who are just back from attending the Parliament of Religions in Melbourne, Australia will be sharing their once-in-a-lifetime experiences with UCD. We’ll have the opportunity to hear from them about the keynote presentations and about a few of the workshops they attended (out of over 600 which were offered,) to see some of the images which they brought back with them, and to learn of their reflections upon the Parliament. Others present at the Parliament of Religions were the Dalai Lama, President Jimmy Carter, Thich Nhat Hanh, Rabbi Michael Lerner, Prof. Dr. Hans Kung, Jim Wallis, and more!

Megan Conrad Sczygielski: What's New in Stroke Rehabilitation
Dr. Sczygielski is a researcher at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago studying post- stroke hand rehabilitation. Come hear her discuss and show us some of the current trends and strategies in helping stroke patients regain use of limbs. Megan is the daughter of our friends Molly and Gene Conrad and has recently completed her PhD. in Biomedical Engineering.

Extra Parking: We have permission to use the parking lots next door at the bank and at PerMar on Sunday mornings. There is a paved sidewalk between their lots and ours, and our custodian keeps the path clear during inclement weather.
